The Bible Study will meet again on October, 25 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.  They are examining the book of James with the study “James: Mercy Triumphs” by Beth Moore. This study will gather on 11/29; 1/31; 2/28; 3/21; 4/25; and 5/30.  Gather with great women in the Undercroft Lounge to further explore and share.  You’ll have a month between sessions to complete some introspective homework.  Here is a write up about the study: James, Jesus’ own brother, started out as a skeptic. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple. Bible scholars compare James to the prophet Amos. In other ways, James more closely resembles the Book of Proverbs than any other New Testament book. Topics in this study include: joy, hardship, faith, reversal of fortunes for rich and poor, wisdom, gifts from above, single-mindedness, the dangers of the tongue, humility, and prayer. Come, let’s learn together! The study will be facilitated by Julia Buuck.   Please let the church office know if you are interested in the study at (703) 573-0295.
