St. Paul’s observes Advent and Lent with extra worship services and devotional opportunities. Advent leads us into the celebration of Christmas, and Lent leads us into the celebration of Easter. Both seasons allows the church to focus intensively on themes of preparation and growth.

Some of our past Advent themes have been “A Lutheran View of Mary,” “The Prophecy of Jesus in Isaiah 40,” “Great Advent Hymns,” “The O Antiphons,” and “Waiting on God.” Some of our past Lenten themes have been “A Theology and Practice of Mercy,” “Christian Virtues,” “Psalms of Lent,” “The Letters to the Churches in Revelation,” and “Acts of Discipleship.”

See St. Paul’s home page Announcements and the church calendar for worship opportunities as these church seasons approach.
