Summer 2021 Worship Plans
With more people being vaccinated and the risks of Covid abating, St. Paul’s has decided to make the following changes to its worship life starting in June.
We will now hold two full-length worship services in English each Sunday. One will be at 8:30am; the other at 10:30. The Chinese service will be at 12:00. Holy Communion will be celebrated at each service.
We will continue to utilize Greeters and Communion Assistants as our volunteer helpers. Please consider whether you would be willing to serve in one of these ways (and contact the office to be scheduled).
The 10:30 service each Sunday will be livestreamed and available for viewing on our YouTube channel – either at that time or afterwards. A link to the page will be included in the Friday email and on our webpage.
We will resume singing at our services. Beginning in July masks will not need to be worn. Every-other pew will be roped off to help maintain distancing. People will pick up their own worship folders from the table at the church entrance. Offerings and Fellowship Cards will be placed in the box on the same table.
Hymnals will be placed back in the pews, but liturgy and hymns will continue to be printed in the worship folders. Pastors may remove their masks for the sermon.
Communion will continue to be distributed as we’ve most recently been doing (not at the altar rail, no common cup). The Pastor who distributes will continue to wear gloves.
Sunday School will continue to be held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. The time will now be 9:45 – 10:15. We are discontinuing the Sunday Zoom fellowship.
This plan will be implemented through the summer. We will evaluate our fall plans as the time approaches.
Thank you for your understanding as we have tried to meet the needs of our congregation safely and effectively. May God continue to bless and protect us all.
