Worship Information

The regular gathering of Christian worship is meant to sustain us along life’s journey. Here we read the Word of God, meditate upon its message for us today, sing hymns which offer praise and aid our meditation, receive the sacraments, give an offering and join our hearts together in prayer.

In our worship we seek to be welcoming to all.

We seek to be a liturgical church in the best sense of that word—following the ancient liturgy, based as it is on numerous Scriptural texts, with the best of contemporary settings.

We seek to know as much of the content in our hymnal, the Lutheran Service Book, as we can—balancing the needs of familiarity and variety, and sometimes exploring other resources as well.

We seek to worship in a manner that seems natural to our setting—both our building, with its traditional architecture and beautiful organ, and our community.

We seek to worship God in a manner that befits His holiness and acknowledges our limitations—aiming for a humble reverence more than a polished production; believing that our listening is more important than our speaking.

We seek to worship God in faith.  We welcome you to join us!
